About Pozo Beller

Mediation is an interactive process where an impartial neutral assists opposing parties in resolving disputes. It is well known that a great majority of cases can and will settle at mediation. Mediation is efficient and much less costly then the cost of  prolonged litigation. Additionally, there is an emotional cost of litigation that can be eliminated with an agreed mediation settlement.

As former Judges, Trial Lawyers, and Supreme Court Certified Civil Mediators, Ada Pozo and Eric Beller bring a wealth of experience, necessary to help settle your case through a mutually agreeable resolution. Pozo Beller Mediation provides the forum where parties can find a safe environment to communicate, listen, negotiate, and take positive actions to resolve disputes.

South Florida Mediator Ada Pozo

Ada Pozo, Esq.

Ada B. Pozo is certified by The Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Civil Mediator and as a Family Court Mediator.  Ada is fluent in Spanish and is available to conduct mediations in English and Spanish.

Ada is a retired Miami Dade County Court Judge. During her term, she presided over thousands of cases in the civil, criminal, and domestic violence divisions. Ada was also certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a mentor judge, assisting and educating judges new to the bench.

Ada also served as a felony trial attorney with the Miami Dade County Public Defenders Office. Her experience as a judge, a trial attorney, and as a social worker make her exceptionally qualified as a Mediator to effectively listen, analyze, and resolve a wide range of cases.

Ada has also appeared on numerous television and radio programs as an expert legal analyst. She has previously hosted her own radio show on Sirius XM and currently she Co-Hosts CNBC’s primetime show Money Court.  

A native Floridian, Ada holds a B.A. and a B.S. from Florida International University.  She received her J.D. from The University of Miami where she was the winner of the ATLA Mock Trial Competition, was awarded The Honorable Natalie Baskin Memorial Scholarship, and was a member of Phi Delta Phi Honor Society. She is a member of the Cuban American Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

South Florida Mediator Eric Beller

Eric Beller, Esq.

Eric Beller is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil Court Mediator and Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator. Eric has previously served for 15 years as a Broward County Judge and General Magistrate. As a judge, he presided over thousands of jury and non-jury trials including accident, insurance, civil, criminal, and foreclosure cases. Appointed by the Chief Judge as a General Magistrate, Eric was assigned to the probate division where he presided over thousands of complex guardianship, trust and estates, and elder law matters. During his tenure as a judge, Eric has also served as a Florida Bar Referee.

Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1987 Eric has almost 35 years experience as a Florida attorney.  Prior to beginning his judicial career, Eric was a trial lawyer and has tried hundreds of jury and non-jury cases. He has litigated complex personal injury, accident, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and product defect claims. Eric previously was also a member and title agent for Attorneys Title and has closed hundreds of real estate deals. He has vast experience and understanding of title defects and real estate issues. Having represented both plaintiffs and defendants, heard thousands of cases as a judge and magistrate, Eric possesses a unique understanding of civil law from many different perspectives.

Originally from Brooklyn New York, Eric has resided in South Florida for 35 years. During law school in San Diego, Eric spent time in Shanghai China studying law and language. He is conversant in Mandarin Chinese. Eric also holds a license as a United States Department of Homeland Security Customs Broker.  He has previously taught at FAU as an adjunct professor of international law and business.
